Dance Makers is a long-standing ballroom dance studio located in Edmond, Oklahoma, offering private lessons, group classes, and weekly social dance events. The studio has been part of the local community for more than 30 years and is known for creating a welcoming environment where anyone can feel comfortable learning to dance.

The previous website had become outdated, slow to load, and difficult for the studio to update. The goal of the redesign was to modernize the site while making it easier for visitors to understand the studio’s classes, instructors, and upcoming events.

The new website focuses on clear information, fast performance, and a welcoming visual style that reflects the personality of the studio. Much of the imagery features the studio’s instructors and regular students, helping communicate the friendly and inclusive culture that makes Dance Makers unique.

More Projects

Here are a few additional websites built for small businesses, organizations, and personal projects across different industries. Each project reflects its own audience and purpose while maintaining a clear and professional structure for visitors.

Hayden C. Hewes Archive

International UFO Bureau · Digital Archive & Historical Preservation

The Hayden C. Hewes Archive was created for the International UFO Bureau as a volunteer preservation and research project. The challenge was to take decades of historical material and turn it into a public archive that feels organized, credible, and approachable while honoring the work of longtime investigator Hayden C. Hewes.

The project grew well beyond a traditional website. I built a custom WordPress archive and search system around thousands of records, developed workflows for OCR and document matching, and created tools that help visitors browse, discover, save, and securely access historical files.

Amazon Textract OCR and Python-based document matching workflow

AWP Therapy

Private Mental Health Practice

AWP Therapy was created for a therapist who previously relied on a Psychology Today listing as her primary online presence. The goal of this project was to build a professional website that felt personal, welcoming, and reflective of her approach to therapy.

The design was inspired by the client’s love of zinnias and reading. Custom design elements—including a hand-designed logo and watercolor textures layered over soft background imagery—create a calm and thoughtful visual style while keeping the focus on clear information about services and resources.

Carly’s Complete Fitness was built for a certified personal trainer offering personalized coaching for women in Edmond, Oklahoma City, Moore, and surrounding communities. The website brings Carly’s approach to strength training, corrective exercise, kettlebell training, and nutrition together into a clear and approachable experience for potential clients.

The project also included original photography. I photographed Carly working with clients and incorporated those images throughout the website, giving the design a personal and authentic look while helping visitors see what training with Carly actually feels like.
